Installation and setup wizard
Detailed guide for first-time setup via the Setup wizard (configuration assistant).
Access: Joolweb Sessions Pro → Setup wizard
URL: wp-admin/admin.php?page=joolwebsp-setup-wizard
The wizard opens automatically after the first activation (administrator).
Start here
- Activate the plugin → wizard opens.
- Confirm timezone.
- Test email.
- Finish and open the Dashboard.
The 6 steps

Checks step
Verifies:
- Compatible WordPress version (5.8+)
- Compatible PHP version (7.4+)
- Email sending capability (test with admin address). If the test fails locally: normal without SMTP — configure an SMTP plugin or MailHog in development.
Timezone step (important)
The site timezone determines:
- Session display times
- Times in emails and the log
- Reminder window
Check timezone settings in WordPress Settings → General → Timezone.
An incorrect value causes 1–2 h offsets.
Pages step
The plugin automatically creates:

In the wizard, at the Pages step:
Click each View button next to the created pages (Login, Client home, etc.) to verify they display correctly on the site.
Read the Menus section of the wizard: it compares the WordPress classic menu (Appearance → Menus) and the Gutenberg Navigation block. For more detail (what to put in the menu, role filters), see the Menus and navigation guide.
Settings step
Email reminders
- Enable / disable
- Delay (e.g. 24 h before the session)
Sender
- Name and email displayed in Sessions Pro messages
Cron
- URL to call every hour for reliable reminders
- Link to cron-job.org (free service)
- Without external cron: reminders depend on site visits (WP-Cron)
Done step
Shortcuts:
- Add a customer
- New session
- Sessions Pro dashboard
- Customers
- Coach area (front) — optional, new tab
Click Finish wizard → admin dashboard.
The wizard remains accessible at any time to re-check a step.
