Coaches
iCal calendar
Premium guide: subscribe your calendar (Google, Apple, Outlook) to Sessions Pro sessions, and import busy times for client booking.
This is not two-way Google “connected account” sync. No Google OAuth in v1 — iCal is enough for a solo coach.
Key point
Two uses
| Use | Role |
|---|---|
| Private subscription | Your sessions (confirmed + pending) show up in Google Calendar, Apple, or Outlook |
| Busy import | Slots already busy in your personal calendar no longer appear for client booking |
Both are optional. There is no month grid on the front. In WordPress use Where to see the schedule and the Admin dashboard.
Subscribe a calendar (iCal export)
Active Premium add-on
In Sessions Pro, copy the private iCal calendar URL
In Google Calendar / Apple / Outlook: Add by URL (subscribe)
Keep the URL private. Anyone who has it can see your sessions.
Updates follow the calendar’s refresh rate (often 15 minutes to a few hours depending on Google / Apple / Outlook). It is not instant.
Import busy times
Export or copy the iCal URL of your personal calendar
Paste it in Sessions Pro (iCal / busy-times setting)
Occupied slots disappear from the client Book tab
Useful if you already block ranges in Google Calendar. See Client booking.
What you will see in the external calendar
- Confirmed sessions
- Pending sessions (client request not yet approved)
Displayed details depend on the calendar (title, time). Do not expect two-way sync: editing an event in Google does not update Sessions Pro.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Lead |
|---|---|
| Nothing appears | Premium license? Full private URL copied? Calendar refresh delay |
| Wrong timezone | Site timezone (wizard / WP Settings → General) |
| Slot offered while you are busy | Busy import not configured, or personal calendar not up to date |
| URL leaked | Regenerate the private URL in Sessions Pro if the option exists, then update the subscription |
